Got S’mores? by Beverly Hicks Burch

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

What is a great way to get kids out from in front of the TV on a crisp autumn night? How bout S’mores?

I must admit I was a S’more newbie. Yes, it’s true I had never made S’mores before, but evidently my Tall & Handsome was schooled in the art of S’more making.

The other night a young guest asked if we could roast marshmallows when she saw our fire pit on the deck. Of course, T & H took it a step further and said, “We’ll make S’mores!” Well, tonight was the night and below you’ll find the recipe and resulting pictures of S’more night at the Burch house.

for 8 S’mores you will need:

8 large marshmallows

1 –  1.55 ounce bar milk chocolate, cut into 8 pieces

16 graham cracker halves

1. Roast marshmallow over fire until desired doneness.

2. Place 1/8 of the chocolate bar on top of 1/2 of a graham cracker.

3. Place the hot marshmallow on top of the graham cracker and chocolate and then top with the other graham cracker half.
